A long distance move is any move over 100 miles from the origin and usually crosses state lines. Long distance moves are based on volume, so your first step is to provide us with an exact inventory. After the inventory has been submitted, the next step would be to detail any special requirements that you may have, such as a need for our professional packing services, items requiring special handling, stairs or problems with access for the truck. Movers USA can pack your whole house or you can choose partial packing. Partial packing is the wrapping of all wood furniture with blankets, putting mattresses in bags to protect them from moisture and soil, crating TV's and other electronic devices and the crating of mirrors, pictures or glass table tops. If you pack yourself, make sure all the cartons you use are the proper size for the contents. Don't pack books in large cartons and don't pack anything that leaves a lot of air space inside the carton. The carton could get crushed and damages to the contents may occur. Movers USA reserves the right to repack any cartons they feel may not make the trip without damage.

Movers USA uses an inventory tracking system. When we arrive at your home, the foreman will write an inventory of all of your belongings. Each item will be tagged and numbered. You will be given a copy of this inventory to use at your destination to make sure all your items arrive safely.

You can choose an exclusive direct move which is usually more expensive. It picks you up and delivers you from the same truck. Most people choose terminal direction. This is when your shipment is put on a trailer with several other shipments. This is considerably less expensive and most people use this method. You will have to remember and plan to be without your belongings until they are delivered. The length of time is determined by the distance you are moving.
